FEASt (Food Education Action St. John's) is planning an 'Open Garden Day' on Sun. Sept 20th, 1 - 5pm, to be followed by a Local Food Potluck Picnic (& Autumn Equinox Celebration) at Bannerman Park, 5pm - 8pm.

We will be preparing a map of interesting food gardens in St. John's.  People are invited to use the maps to do self-guided tours to see all of the different ways food is being grown in the city!  Ideally, the gardeners will be home to share info & ideas.

If you are growing food and are willing to list your garden space for our tour, please register with us! (Send us your name, address, & brief description of your garden.  DEADLINE to register: Sun. Sept 6th)

We're looking for ALL TYPES - big, small, raised beds, containers, greenhouses, in the ground, fruit trees, backyard chickens, etc. - you name it!  (If you know of other people growing - neighbours, friends, family - put them in contact with us, too!)   Our goals include: showcasing the variety of what's possible; connecting people & cross-pollinating ideas; and inspiring everyone to get growing!

Then bring your favourite 'local food' dish over to Bannerman Park for a yummy potluck celebration!

For more info or to list your garden, please email: local.feast@gmail.com.
