Regional Food Animators
Our Regional Food Animators work across the province to inspire and support community food action by:
Creating spaces where people can share what is happening in their area and learn from one another.
Building relationships and making connections.
Sharing and providing resources, information, and guidance.
Project ideas and food actions look different for each region and each community. Some of the things that the Regional Food Animators are working on include:
Providing presentations to community groups and schools
Meeting and networking with folks in their region
Connecting folks with information and resources to support their food actions

Lunch and Learn with the Western Environment Centre (WEC) | Tuesday, April 28, 12:00 p.m. NDT - Register on Zoom
The Western Environment Centre is all about hands-on environmental education that brings the community together for learning and connection. They've been running interactive and fun community food programs in the Corner Brook region for more than 15 years. Programs include a very popular seed library, five community gardens, a growing dome greenhouse, a food-skills workshop series, and lots more.
Come chat with WEC executive director, Katie Temple, to learn more about the organization and get a bonus mini-workshop on getting ready for the garden season!
